They can work collaboratively to answer the questions for their team. If a group misses a question, the question goes to the next team, giving them a chance to answer the question. If the next team answers correctly, they receive the points for that question, and also get a chance to answer a question of their own. I bring up the first page on my SMART

Using money in math problems can be confusing for younger students, so we practice with coins a lot in our math centers. One of our favorite learning centers uses this activity page and a bag of coins. I randomly pack the bags with a variety of plastic coins, so no one has the same amount; this ensures there won't be any obvious cheating. Using their bag of coins, the students follow the simple directions on the activity sheet to solve several money math problems. The sheet can easily be modifie

In my first 2 years of teaching I found Integers to be one of the toughest concepts for students to grasp in the middle school. I tried using a rule, number lines, and tiles and for some kids it just did not click. My last resort was using a thermometer to teach the kids about adding integers. These notes / worksheet will give kids the chance to practice adding integers using temperature. Do not forget to Rate and Comment :)
