Plan a Thanksgiving Dinner! (Free!)
This is a fun math project to do before Thanksgiving. Students will be able to plan out their own (or co-host with a partner) Thanksgiving dinner! They will first decide how many people are invited, then they will select items from the list (entree, side, dessert, drink) to plan out their shopping list for the big dinner. They are given a budget of $200, so they need to be mindful of how much they are spending, and they also have to be mindful of how many people each item will feed so they know

FREEBIE Valentine Add & Subtract Mats
Broken hearts joined together, or split apart help to visually express the concepts of addition and subtraction on these two mats. Use conversation hearts, Valentines erasers, Valentines playdough balls, or other relevant manipulatives that young learns can count. For more advanced students, number heart cards can be utilized, or dry erase markers or crayons can be used once the mats are laminated. Print both and laminate back to back.

Graphing Conversation Hearts
A must-have activity for Valentine's Day. Students will count and graph the colors in their box of conversation hearts. Page 2 asks students to use the numbers they graphed to create and solve addition problems. I've pre-made both pages to show: pink, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. However, because this is a word document, you are free to edit the colors to fit your needs.

I have included holiday themes for Christmas, Valentines, Thanksgiving, and Halloween.
I used numbers up to 6.
