Class Books by Miss Beth! Just put pictures of your class in to illustrate it yourselves! What are Put the Pictures in Yourself Class Books? Glad you asked!Inspired by the No, David books that my preschool class loved, I decided to take it one step further and turn a version of that story into the first of my personalized class books series. The idea fit in perfectly to our start of the school year rules discussion. This book shows what not to do – and more importantly- also shows what to do ins

Classroom Management: Classroom Expectations and Procedures

These back to school expectations and procedures are intended to set the tone for the school year and to provide an effective and safe learning environment. I use these handouts the first week of school with my middle school students to ensure that the classroom rules and procedures are communicated clearly to students and their parents. The students keep these handouts in their notebooks during the school year so we can refer back to them as needed. The last page is a student/parent signature

The product will showcase what they learned on their "trip". These pages are the complete explanation and expectation of the TPSP product. We allow students to choose a scrapbook, blog, vlog or interview to show what they learned on their "trip" to their country to investigate their topic. I have included pic

There are three simple rules that use for small groups daily. When I start my group I have them say the rules together. I always have a clip board during small groups so I cut them and tape them on the back. I point to them as they say them. They evidently don't need to say them or even be reminded of them. This greatly helps with the students that come to small groups and always wants to touch whats on the table.

This is a two page document that reinforces the use of finding patterns in numbers. It is an extension of the function machine commonly used in primary math lessons. It takes the rule a bit further and uses the rule in algebraic form for the student to use in figuring out an algebraic expression. I use this with my high ability 2nd grades, although it can be used with any grade if the student needs enrichment or reteaching.
