Series vs. Parallel Circuits PowerPoint Animation

This is an original PowerPoint animation that demonstrates the different between a series circuit and a parallel circuit. It shows both the standard circuit symbols, as well as pictures, complete with batteries, light bulbs, and wires. The animation shows what happens when a bulb is removed from each circuit, demonstrating that a complete loop (circuit) is necessary in order for current to flow. The slides can be modified if the user wishes to add more bulbs, etc. Thanks! Michael Guarraia

Mind Games book report project

Mind Games by Jeanne Marie Grunwell is a fantastic fictional novel written as a scientific journal from the point of view of a group of 7th grade students. It explores the scientific process and has a character every student can relate to. It's funny, emotional and most importantly scientifically sound (although the topic of their study is ESP- the author does a good job at remaining objective). It's a quick read- I love to do it right before Christmas Break or after end-of-year testing. I a
