Color Coded Google Sheets Gradebook | Classroom Grades | Interactive Sheets
Classroom Gradebook. Simply type in your student's names and the assignments and then the grades. They will automatically change colors based off of the score you type in. Color Codes: 0-74.99 = Red75-89.99 = Yellow 90-100 = GreenType in the percentage without the percent sign. (i.e. 95% should be typed in as just 95) Unlimited amounts of students, and unlimited amounts of assignments. If you need more subjects, just duplicate them and rename them to what you want.

February Challenge!
Looking for ways to motivate your students? This is a great way to help get your students started on any online learning program such as IXL, Ready, MobyMax, and others, for the year. You can choose minutes or lessons passed and create your own guidelines based on your class needs. Students pass lessons, color in pictures, and turn them in for a reward. Take the MAPS Challenge! A goal setting worksheet
Many of us are using the NWEA MAPS assessment to monitor our students' progress in both reading and math. This is a worksheet that I created that enables students to take ownership over their MAPS scores, and encourage them to make growth. Using this worksheet, students set goals for themselves to achieve throughout the year in both reading and math. Additionally, students can monitor their growth throughout the year to see if they have achieved their goal.

This encourages them to be repsectful to other students talking, raising their hands and not shouting out the answers, and to particpate more in the classroom. Free HW/Drop Lowest Grade Passes
Teaching middle school is certainly challenging. It's difficult to motivate those students that just aren't motivated by their own grades.
Our school year is divided into six 6 weeks periods. At the end of those periods, I hold a classroom raffle to raffle off bags of chips, candy, Free HW Passes and Drop the Lowest Daily Grade passes. The kids turn them in to me whenever they need a free pass.
