Area and Perimeter
The presentation includes several examples and activities to help students practice calculating area and perimeter. For instance, students are asked to find the area and perimeter of a basketball court, a backyard, and a trampoline. There are also higher-order thinking questions to encourage students to apply their knowledge to everyday situations. The lesson concludes with a worksheet for independent practice and a reflection on whether students were able to achieve the learning target.

This resource is complete with 12 essential questions that tie in to Grade 4 Common Core Math Unit 6 Geometry standards.Many of the essential questions ask "How can we..." ? Cornell Notes Dot and Graphing Template (Editable)
This template is similar to my free Cornell notes template, however instead of a field to write down notes there is an area filled with dots that can be used to create graphs or shapes. Like other Cornell notes, it still contains the left-hand column to generate extra thoughts and a summary section on the bottom.
