This walks students through what the operations do in math, not using code words. My students use this when solving word problems. We go through this as we introduce the operations in word problems. We fill out an anchor chart and we spend a lot of time discussing what the operations mean. I have a blank copy for the students and have included a copy filled out for you to adjust as needed. I made these username and password cards so my students could independently use the technology lab. I plan to fill in student information, cut them out, and laminate them. They will then be made available to students when they are ready to use the classroom, media center, or technology lab computers. They could also be sent home so students could assess internet resources after school.
