Fillable Missing Assignment Letter

This is a simple reminder letter I use to communicate with families and help students stay organized. The PDF form is fillable, just add your own signature block. The Alternative Assessment document is intended to offer students choice in regards to how they want to demonstrate what they have learned. I started using this Alternative Assessment form with students that performed poorly on traditional tests. These directions offer learners the option to apply what they have learned regurgitating information for a test.

Learning an Instrument

This is a little powerpoint I put together to help my students stay true to their instrument goals and to help me keep track of it all for easy access. It also helps them to see other student's goals because it keeps them accountable for what they are learning as well as challenges them to reach for goals they may not have otherwise tried. It is also good for them because they can ask students with similar goals if they want to learn with them, or create a band. My 6th graders LOVED it.
