Biology Binder Set Up and Filing Instructions

Created by
VHS Bioteach
My students are 9th and 10th graders who tend to be disorganized. I use this bio binder set up guide at the beginning of the year as a class activity to get everyone started. I administer short pop quizzes that check if students have kept their classroom papers, learning references, and graded papers for the current unit of study. The acronyms in the guide are: YAG (Year at a Glance), SLM (Student Learning Map), BLG (Blended Learning Guide)

Test/Quiz Reflection Form

This is a form designed to encourage students to mindfully reflect on their test/quiz scores. I give these to my students printed on a colored paper before they recover their test/quiz grade. It allows them to reflect and then I can use it as the cover page for their test/recovery test when scores go home! Great way to encourage parents to discuss with their students about their assessments. EDITABLE so you can change to fit any type of test!

Because students have to get them signed, parents can't claim they didn't know about the test, quiz, whatever! Use year after year, just make changes as needed.
