This handy 1 page parent signature sheet is great when sending tests and quizzes home. It can be stapled to the students papers and has a line for writing the number of scores attached as well as parent signature and comments section. I require this page to be returned to me so I know that parents have received the scores.

Use this page weekly to keep notes on your students. You can add the I can to the top and then check mark if they got it, give a quick note of how they almost have it, or write a note of what they need to still work on. I am double siding this and using it for a math and reading assessment every week. I will type my students name in for the year and then print out as I need.

Spreadsheet Gradebook for 2014-15
I've taken our Quarter system and made a spreadsheet for the year. It has school holidays added which can be changed easily. There is one page that is an example page that shows comments with a sample student and how to use the spreadsheet. This is a simple "average the grades" spreadsheet. Different categories count more (quizzes count 2x while tests count 4x). The semesters are cummulative for our district but can be easily changed :) Enjoy!

Total Points System - Grading Poster
The total points grading system is a more authentic and fair way to grade students in almost any situation. Categories of assignments (tests, quizzes, homework, etc.) are pre-weighted, allowing more flexibility with assignment distribution.

My newsletter informs parents and students of what we are doing every day in every subject, as well as, items in bold print signify tests and quizzes. I have had many parents tell me how much they enjoy knowing what their child is doing in school on a daily basis.
