This is a grading rubric I use for many of the math projects my students have completed. It is pretty basic, however this makes it useful for many different types of projects. I have used this for addition/subtraction, measuring, and multiplication projects so far and it has worked well. I have included "following directions and On-Task" as part of the grading criteria since I teach in a self contained classroom for students with disabilities. Counting and Number Lines Activity
This is a recording sheet for counting and recording tens and ones counted as well as recording the numeral. Students are also to use the number line to show how they counted, whether it's by ones, twos, fives, or tens. During this lesson I usually allow them to complete it however they wish at first and then discuss how efficient it is to count by tens. Fraction Strips with Number Lines
The way I use these is by putting the print outs in dry erase pocket sleeves and have the students use rulers to divide their numbers lines into however many parts I want them to. It is also helpful because if you want them to shade in part of the fraction strips they can use their markers to show where a fraction is on the line.
