The presentation includes several examples and activities to help students practice calculating area and perimeter. For instance, students are asked to find the area and perimeter of a basketball court, a backyard, and a trampoline. There are also higher-order thinking questions to encourage students to apply their knowledge to everyday situations. The lesson concludes with a worksheet for independent practice and a reflection on whether students were able to achieve the learning target.
