Sometimes, they just need help seeing the patterns and repetition in math. Those transitions to the next "tens" are often a challenge. I've used this chart in class to help show the pattern for counting. I also send this home at the beginning of the year with parents to help them work with their children at home. Monthly Reading Logs
These reading logs encourage students to read daily as well as track their reading minutes. When a student reads for a certain amount of time, they color the book on that day a certain color based on the code on the page. It's up to you how you utilize these in your classrooms! I mostly just want to encourage my students to read daily. I added the coloring component to challenge some of my higher readers. :)
