I created a consequence map using picture prompts (ie. Boardmaker) to visually show appropriate and inappropriate behaviors during class. This clearly defines expectations and consequences for students, especially those on the Autism spectrum. I tape it to my students' desks and I can simply tap their choice to non-verbally remind them. This flow chart is a visual for students. It aids in helping them to understand the choices they are making and the consequences (positive and/or negative) that result from those choices. It can be aligned with the Zones of Regulation (red zone/green zone). The symbol at the end stands for "consequence". It can be edited to a more specific consequence visual.
