This lesson has be used for a STEM enrichment. This lesson asks students to work collaboratively or independently. Students will create a rock band and plan an international tour. Students must log their travel expenses, distances, and elapsed time. This lesson allows students to see the needs for budgeting, planning, and provides a wonderful introduction to the global perspective. Requirements can easily be adjusted to fit the needs of any class.

I merged this desire with my students' desire to exercise their mathematical expertise outside of the textbook and created this project! Pumpkin math is great for rotations and small groups. Students can work together to find out facts about their pumpkins. Students find information such as circumference, measurements, and create graphs. Students are even able to have pumpkin races!
