This is a visual to use with mid-elementary and upper students. It provides a visual way of showing strategies that a student can use when they have spoken, but are not understood by their communication partner. These strategies can be independently used by students and can help to reduce frustration and unexpected behaviors due to intelligibility (with speech sound errors, grammar, or language/word choice).
