This is a scripted DI (direct instruction) lesson designed to teach the order of operations strategy, PEMDAS. It is made for 5th grade but could be adapted to teach any intermediate or middle school grades as well. It includes modeling, guided practice and independent practice as well as a data collection tool for recording student errors.
