Students can use this short 2-page skit to increase their reading fluency in Spanish 1 and Spanish 2. Students choose their characters and read aloud in groups of 3-4. Teachers have the option of previewing some difficult vocabulary. However, the text contains several cognates and is an entertaining way for teens and tweens to practice using vocabulary. Movietalk -- Los Gritones (Spanish)
This is a movie talk with a love theme (it is perfect for Valentine's Day). Students LOVE this video -- we get laughs all around. This is written in SIMPLE Spanish and can be understood by Spanish 1 students, but all levels love it. The movie talk is short (10 minutes?) and there are two included quizzes (multiple choice and T/f) to complete a short lesson. I also have blank slides, with the pictures included, for students to do a retell afterwards.
