This is a IPA-like activity using song lyrics to Baila by Esteman. The song uses informal commands and is very easy to understand. Also included are the song lyrics and a cloze-passage listening quiz.
It usually takes me one class period to learn about the singer, listen to the song, watch the video and work on the worksheet. A week later, I will give the cloze-passage song quiz as a listening assessment.

Song Quiz - Chocolate by Jesse y Joy (Spanish)
Fill in the blank listening quiz for the song "Chocolate" by Jesse y Joy. I used the song to study cognates and practice listening skills. I had students listen, sing along, then do matching activities with sentence strips from the lyrics. The final part to this week was the quiz. I played the song 2 times and they had to fill in the lyrics.

This presentation will help students understand how to conjugate verbs ending in ar. Students will review pronouns and learn how to change verbs to match them.
