Expressions Question Stack
This self-checking activity can be used to practice or review Order of Operations, Combining Like Terms, Parts of an Expression and the Distributive Property. How to play: Begin with one question facing up. All other cards should be answer side up spread out on the desk. Students will find the answer, and flip it on top of the question (revealing their next problem) creating a stack of cards. Common Core Math Stations and Games - Numbers and Operations Math Match
I created this game for my common core math stations. It can be played individually, in partners, or groups of three or four.
It works perfectly in stations as it is easily differentiated. As my students are rotating from one station to the next, I can grab the stack of cards and remove some pairs to modify the game for a lower level group.
There are 36 cards included. This is enough for three different twelve-card games or two different 18-card games.
