This quiz tests students knowledge of basic geometry terminology through matching and one construction. I have included four different versions of the quiz to discourage cheating amongst students. This quiz covers material required by the CCLS.
Learning Target: I can use my knowledge of surface area and volume to solve real world problems about cylinders and rectangular prisms. The document will be a word download so you can edit as needed.
This is a quiz that requires students to "write" the definitions and to tell the angles that satisify the definition. It includes: vertical, linear pairs, alternate exterior/interior, same-side exterior/interior, adjacent angles, and corresponding angles. A picture of parallel lines with angles numbered is included.
This is a true/ false quiz containing pertinent information about pi. There is an answer key included. There is 1 extra credit opportunity whereby the student creates a word problem using pi. Thanks ever so much for visiting and supporting our humble shop. Excelsior!
5 individual lessons that has a Power Point Presentation and accompanying worksheet for each lesson as well as an end of unit review andquiz that includes the answer key.
**Great for students who were absent from class and/or struggling in need of remediation... This package contains a private YouTube link to click/watch a 9 minute tutorial video (written and narrated by me) regarding the topic of triangles, particularly the introduction of the Pythagorean Theorem. ---The link ("URL") is listed at top of the very first page of the accompanying video quiz (10 questions with answer key included). Perfect if you wish to have students learn the introductory concepts
Aligned with Chapter 8 of the Glencoe-McGraw Hill Geometry Textbook, this is a quiz over some of the tools of geometry including the Pythagorean Theorem and proportions. It was intended for a remedial high school geometry class, so would be appropriate for middle-school aged students as well as a quick review for higher-level learners.
Test Review associated with Guided Notes - Lesson 7.1 to Guided Notes - Lesson 7.8 Objectives: - Students will be able to solve percent word problems - Students will be able to determine the probability of an event - Students will be able to determine the probability of a conditional event - Students will be able to determine the probability of an event with replacement and without replacement - Students will be able to use circle graphs to illustrate and interpret information
13 questions in interior and exterior angles of a polygon, finding x given the sides or angles of a quadrilateral and finding the missing angles in a special quadrilateral.
**Great for students who were absent from class and/or struggling in need of remediation... This package contains a private YouTube link to click/watch a 15 minute tutorial video (written and narrated by me) regarding the topic of angle pairs created by a 'transversal' cutting two parallel lines (Therefore negating the need for a protractor). The following terms are taught: -- Transversal line -- Corresponding Angles -- Alternate Interior Angles The link is listed at top of the very first page
**Great for students who were absent from class and/or struggling in need of remediation... This package contains a private YouTube link to click/watch a 15 minute tutorial video (written and narrated by me) regarding the topic of a single pair of intersecting lines ("Common Vertex") and the angle pairs that are a result of such an intersection. -- Vertical Angles -- Complementary Angles -- Supplementary Angles -- Adjacent Angles The link ("URL") is listed at top of the very first page of the
An 11 question quiz combining the Law of Sines/Cosines and SOH CAH TOA. Solving triangles are at the beginning, graphing with SOH CAH TOA is in the middle and word problems are included at the end.
This is a quiz I give to my algebra 1 students with a preview of trigonometry. It covers similar triangles, complementary and supplementary angles, scale factors, and trigonometric ratios
NOTE: for numbers 6 and 7 you will need to write in degrees into the triangle. I change them each time I give the quiz
Creating your own Quizzes, Assignments, Exit Slips, Do Nows, Warm ups, and Bell ringers for your Algebra, PreCalculus, Calculus, Geometry or any Math class just became whole lot easier with this new Create-A-Quiz Editable Daily Quiz Toolkit™. Great for middle school or HS. Save time and money easily and quickly creating exactly what you want and need. There are 11 editable templates in PowerPoint®. My geometry students need practice with proving triangles congruent using SSS, SAS, ASA, HL, SAA, and they also need practice applying these congruence shortcuts to figures in which the parts don't necessarily "line up," or in figures requiring them to use vertical angles are the reflexive property of congruence.
The preview file is a pdf so you may see what it looks like; the product file is a word document, which you may edit for your students. The worksheet includes "spiral review" problems
Make teaching Voronoi diagrams stress-free and engaging with this complete lesson bundle designed for IB Math Applications and Interpretations (AI). This resource guides students from conceptual exploration to formal definitions and rigorous practice, making it ideal for both SL and HL students. Students begin with an intuitive investigation of Voronoi diagrams, develop formal understanding with structured notes, and then work through examples that gradually increase in difficulty. Whether y
This easy-to-use lesson covering surface area and lateral surface area will be a breeze to prepare and contains a logical flow. A PowerPoint will guide your lesson while the students work through their notes. After each section of the PowerPoint, students will work through a practice page. There is an editable quiz option available. All answer keys are included. The PowerPoint breaks the lesson into three parts: Lateral and total surface area of prisms and cylinders. Lateral and total surfa
Students work in pairs or groups of three to determine the missing angle measures in two figures that are composed of interlocking triangles. Students must be able to apply the Linear Pair Postulate, Vertical Angle Theorem, Triangle Sum Theorem, and Exterior Angle Theorem in order to determine the measures of the missing angles.
Students create posters to display their results, including explanation of the process used to determine the measures of two specific angles. This is intended to be
This is a Jeopardy game designed to be a review quadrilaterals and polygons. It covers polygons, parallelograms, rhombuses, rectangles, squares, and trapezoids. It will take at least one full period to complete. This file includes the entire game in an interactive PowerPoint presentation. The categories are Rhombuses, Squares, Rectangles, Parallelogram Properties, Trapezoids, and Polygons and Angle Measures. Each category has five questions of increasing difficulty. - Maureen Ordnung
This geometry test provides an assessment for skills related to circles, typically taught in a high school geometry course. Students will be assessed on the following skills: Tangent LinesChords and ArcsInscribed AnglesAngle Measures and Segment LengthsCircles in the Coordinate PlaneNote: This assessment focuses on the algebraic aspect of these concepts. Students will be applying theorems. At this time, proofs are not included within the assessment. This quiz is intended to be a great pri
