My students use this to review and build deeper understanding of topics. I would typically partner them and they would have to come up with one topic related question and answer from the front side and 2 from each box on the back with the higher level questions. Giving them guide words and question stems was helpful in developing their ability to look at a topic multiple ways on several levels.
