"The Calculator SPEAKS!" Introductory Calculator Activity
This awesomely hilarious activity consists of a short, fill-in-the-blank story requiring students to type numbers and equations into a standard calculator. It can be used as an introductory hook, or it could be used as typing practice for students who are not used to typing into a calculator. I have used this activity prior to standardized testing.
