Linear vs. Exponential

Sometimes students just need to practice writing equations. Here is a worksheet that allows the students to write linear equations and exponential equations from tables. They then have to decide if the function is linear or exponential and increasing or decreasing. I created this worksheet 5 years ago and every year I hear students say, "Oh, that's the difference." It doesn't take long and makes a great worksheet for after a quiz or as a homework assignment.
