The notes are meant to be used in an interactive notebook or they can also be hole punched and put in a binder. Teacher reviews each step with students and models for student how the work should be done. Students should copy the work. Students can use the notes to refer back to when solving independent work and doing homework. The notes serve as a scaffold for students. I like to use a different colored marker when modeling each step so that students can distinguish on their notes each separate
