Flow chart for solving quadratic equations

This flow chart gives a structured way to solve a quadratic equation. I came up with this after noticing that even my pre-calculus and calculus students spent a lot of time (when they reached a quadratic equation) trying to factor. If the students use this regularly, they will remember the method and save a lot of time. A good strategy for preparing for SATs too.

This interactive PowerPoint activity helps students understand two-digit addition within 100 using a clear and visual number line approach. By separating tens and ones, learners can see each step of the addition process and build strong number sense. ✳️ How it works: Students solve each task using two number lines: • First, they click to add the tens on the first number line • Next, they add the ones on the second number line • Finally, they select the correct answer by choosing the tens and

Graphic Organizer - Limits

This graphic organizer was made after out school got bit by the "Max Thompson" bug. We are working hard to implement Learning Focused Strategies. Research shows that students who learn with graphic organizers are better prepared for assessment. My students did better on their test than in years past. I had the students put the information on a Frayer diagram themselves. This way they had ownership of the organizer and were more interested in it. Vanessa
