Given the graph of f(x), f"(x), or f"'(x), answer questions about the function, first derivative and/or second derivative. Given data points of f(x) and f'(x), answer questions about f(x) and f'(x). Explore multiplicity and understand multiplicity due to an even power will not yield an extrema or actual poi (although it may be a critical number or possible poi). I always start each topic with vocabulary first. Instead of having the kids write the definitions, I do cut and paste in our journals. For Hyperbolas, we only did ones centered at the origin. We were pressed for time before Christmas and so all our asymptotes go through the origin. I pull out the popsicle sticks and go through the class, making a bit of a game of it. No keys available.
