Initially, I designed this lesson for adding/multiplying decimal numbers, and it's fine for that; however, I've started using it toward the end of the year as a lesson on basic spreadsheet formulas. As an end-of-the-year project, it allows the students to complete Internet research, which they enjoy, and to create an online slideshow project, which they also enjoy.
