This fun, hands-on project demonstrates positive and negative space art and symmetry. Symmetry is when two halves of an object or image have a balanced similarity. One half of the image is the mirror image of the other half. The human face is an example of symmetry: each half has an eye, ½ of a nose and ½ of a mouth.
