Color coded, chevron pattern, 1-100 numbers board, cards
These cards are 3 inches wide and 2.5 inches tall. The borders are color coded (fives, evens, tens) with solid black numbers 1-100. The colors used for the borders are blue, yellow, green, and grey. A nice large font was used for easy visibility. It will be best to print on cardstock then have laminated for durability.

Geometry Kite Building Instructions and Rubric
This rubric gives the instructions for building a kite in a high school geometry class.
Part 1: Research and Design. Part 2: Building the kite. Part 3: Flying the kite.
Project grade is based on scale drawing of kite, list of materials used, calculations of dimensions and area, short paper on construction of kite, and how well the kite flies.
My students greatly enjoyed this project and it was a nice break from regular learning.

Addition and Subtraction QR Code Scavenger Hunt
In this QR scavenger hunt, students use a smartphone or tablet to scan QR codes. When they scan a code they will hear a mathematical word problem (addition or subtraction) read to them. They have to solve and record their answer before moving on to the next code.

Writing in Math - Homework Rubric
In my few years of teaching I found that the style of 20 question worksheets as homework, just doesn't get the same results as it may have once before. Doing the same problem 20 times doesn't mean they understand it, it just means they can reproduce it. Students in my classroom are only given one problem for homework.
