I created this rubric for my class to assess their demonstration of knowledge, collaboratively, after a field trip. The way I set it up gives me the ability to not only grade groups of students but to give individual students the credit that is due to them. This prevents students from either dominating or slacking, as they each are accountable for their own demonstration of knowledge and contribution to the presentation. I made this for my kindergarten enrichment class. Each student was given a different animal (or Lily pad) to represent in the song, The Little White Duck by Burl Ives. When they heard their part, they held up their picture. I let them color their picture beforehand. This was so much fun and we did it quite a few times :).

Students identify themes while reading and defend their selections in order to earn the BINGO. The teacher can then determine the reward. I originally created this to complement "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children," hence the bird in the Free Space; but I think this will suit almost any novel. :)

Foldable/cut-out-able study tool for the vocabulary words from Wordly Wise Book 7 List 5 I've included the word divided into syllables, pos, etymology, syn/ant, and an example for each word. red = noun orange = n/v yellow = verb blue = adjective I fold strips so that the word is on the front, you open up to the picture (as a meaning hint), and the back is the defining details. This is the lesson plan template I used when I taught Kindergarten Enrichment. It includes math, reading, writing, and enrichment centers.

The idea behind this poster is that students might be able to remember what adjectives are by understanding and even picturing what the word even means - it's not just some random word some guy made up! Ad- means "to," ject means "throw," and -ive means "description." I have included a picture of two girls throwing a ball and have added descriptions around each element of the illustration to give students examples of some common adjectives.
