Following the "Dolch words" program, this is a beginner review for the first 6-weeks of school. This PowerPoint shows both the uppercase and lower case letters in order and in an easy to read font and format. The colors are bright and engaging to keep the students interested. I used this for the first 6-weeks with my students, but, after a few weeks, I started having the students say the letter sounds instead of the letter names to keep them on their toes. Keep looking for more Dolch letters

As a literacy interventionist I have 11 groups K-6 but I only need to plan for 7 because of where they are at developmentally. This template is editable and allows you plan for 7 groups and know exactly what you are doing for each group at a glance. There is a week of section, a spot for sight words/high-frequency words, learning target for the week, and a spot to fill in your group names. I tried it all and couldn't find a resource on here either. This has been what works for me but it is com

Classroom Management: Classroom Expectations and Procedures

These back to school expectations and procedures are intended to set the tone for the school year and to provide an effective and safe learning environment. I use these handouts the first week of school with my middle school students to ensure that the classroom rules and procedures are communicated clearly to students and their parents. The students keep these handouts in their notebooks during the school year so we can refer back to them as needed. The last page is a student/parent signature

I have had several discussions with my husband, who is a therapist, and together we created an easy to use, weekly, mental health check-in. Through the use of Peardeck, I am able to see all of the students responses in real time, regardless if the class is being taught in-person or virtually! I do this "Where You At? This might also be good for specially challenged students, as well as students with learning disabilities. I intend for this worksheet to b

The Spanish version is on the first page, the English version is on the second, and they're exact translations. So even if you aren't a fluent Spanish speaker you can still send one of these home for a parent to fill out. Since most of it is check marks and ages, by comparing the English version and the Spanish version you can look at what the parent checked on the Spanish version and use the English version to see what that check mark means. Since they're one page, they don't require loads of p

My name is Sophia Akhiyat, and I am passionate about dermatology and community outreach, especially through education. I created this module along with Samra Adeni, an elementary school teacher who works through Teach For America. I gave this lecture to 3rd graders and received excellent feedback from the children. We thought this may be a useful, 30-minute module for other teachers who would like to spend time on a health-related topic. We hope this can be of great use to you in the classroom!
