Here's an easy, manageable way to establish and implement a PBIS and CHAMPS strategy in your classroom. At the beginning of each quarter students are given hallway passes allowing them to leave my classroom for bathroom use, going to their locker for forgotten materials, and going to their locker for homework. In order to show increasing responsibility and maturity throughout the year, the number of passes per quarter decreases by one, except for bathroom allowances. This system was establish

It also explains briefly what interventions and supports need to be in place before they move to tier 3 and or evaluation. It helps my teachers understand what the next steps are before we move toward a behavioral or academic IEP. This document is also editable if you need to change any of the wording or steps to fit you school or gra

This chart is a great professional document for teachers, reading specialist, coaches or principals. Red is Tier 3, Yellow is Tier 2 and Green is Tier 1. It can be changed for your school, just drop in the interventions you have in the boxes provided. I created this for my school when I first started as the literacy coach. It allowed

Finger Signals for Classroom Management

I have created this finger signal chart specifically for secondary school classroom management but is easily adaptable for primary school students too! I have thought about ways in which students need to communicate with teachers, and by using this finger chart can do so calmly, quietly and without fear of judgement from others. I particularly love the four finger signal, as I made this so students can communicate with the teacher privately about their concerns, in a safe environment away from
