I used this in Kindergarten for a beginning review for five minutes as a review for what we taught the following week. It is based on the common core with boxes labeled accordingly. I did four days together and on the fifth day was a quiz. You can also use this for center work or homework. I used this on the Smartboard and the students completed this for one minute individually. Then, they worked in pairs. We went over this for a few minutes. Mainly, this is used as review.

Base Ten Blocks - Work Mats and Printables

Base ten blocks are an excellent tool for teaching students the concept of addition or subtraction because they allow children to touch and manipulate something real while learning important skills in mathematics. Base ten blocks consist of cubes, flats, rods, and blocks. Cubes represent a 1000 units, flats 100 units, rods 10 units, and blocks a single unit or 1.
