Students will complete a table of free throw attempts and successful free throws. I suggest giving a time limit to complete this rather than a certain number of free throws. Students then list from greatest to least the fraction of successful free throws to free throw attempts for their group. Students also look at NBA and WNBA data for free throws and answer: 2. Why do you think the women in the WNBA have a higher free throw average in general than the men in the NBA?

This activity is designed to help students explore the concepts of probability, addition, and graphing. It has been made in Microsoft Word format so that you can alter your options (ie: if you want your older students to write their answers in fraction or percentage format instead of basic) All pictures and borders were found on Google Images. All fonts were found at Kevin & Amanda. Hope you enjoy this free product!
