This is a set of posters of the six main dynamic levels. Each poster includes the dynamic symbol, Italian word and English meaning. Also included in the set is a poster with all the levels on it ranging from loudest to softest. These posters would be great for a wall or bulletin board display whether it is temporary or something you leave up all year long. I have also selected particular colors for each dynamic level to have a visual representation of the increase, or decrease, in volume.

The solfege and rhythm are influenced by Progressive Sight Singing, created by Dr. Carol Krueger. This sight singing curriculum uses movable 'Do' and Takadimi. That means the rhythm will teach duple and triple meter at the same time. There is a page of important directions included to increase the success of this curriculum

I use these pages in my students' interactive notebooks. Often, when listening to a piece, the students are able to use these as a reference. Another way to use these is to print them out, laminate them, cut them up, and put them in a ziplock baggie. As students listen to a piece, they can select terms that they feel describe the piece. Students can also quiz each other, such as asking a partner to say the Italian word for quiet (piano) or ask for the definition of a word. Hope these are he
