In this activity, students explore a bowl of Lucky Charms and become “marshmallow mathematicians”! First, they sort the marshmallows by shape and record what they find using tally marks. Then they use their tallies to create a bar graph showing which Lucky Charms appear the most and the least. After building the graph, students answer fun math questions such as: How many in all, How many fewer marshmallows than cereal pieces, If you were to eat all the hearts how many would you have left. T
