Reward and Consequence Behavior Chart

We have all been there....we have a child that is unruly and just refuses to listen and follow any rules. I have made this chart just for them. The chart is very simple to use, if the child does well in the 15 minute time span then they receive a star. After so many stars in a row (I usually do 3 stars, but it is up to you) then the child receives an immediate reward for their behavior. Now if the child is having trouble during the time span, mark an X or leave it blank so they know they need to

Having opportunities to identify as a "helper" can increase a child's sense of well-being and self-esteem. Some of our kiddos with auditory processing, impulsivity, distractability, or language differences can find focus on multi-stepped, clean-up tasks challenging. My daughter has ADD and it was suggested from the school counselor that she used a chore chart or schedule to help her keep track of her time. This is what I came up with to help with. It is a blank copy so that parents could add their own chores. It could also be used as a detailed schedule.

This chart can be used to create a picture direction chart to help your little ones follow the steps to independently complete a task. Use BoardMaker pictures or take pictures of real items in your classroom and attach with velcro. As each step is completed, the student takes that picture off and can see what to do next. For example: Step 1 = color (picture of crayon), Step 2 - cut (picture of scissors), Step 3 = glue (picture of gluestick)
