A stand-alone lesson giving your students a chance to practise drawing bar charts, or this could be used (as I did) as a follow-up to a lesson investigating friction.
This download includes:
A worksheet in PDF and editable Word format including a table of results for a friction experiment. Students must work out some missing averages and draw a bar chart of the experiment. There's a checklist of what to include on the bar chart.
A PowerPoint file with the objective and differentiated outcomes
This 1-page worksheet consists of a chart for students to fill in.
The chart asks students to fill in the following about the 6 kingdoms:
autotrophs or heterotrophs?
eukaryotes or prokaryotes?
unicellular or multicellular?
examples?
NEW AND IMPROVED.
Students will remember what's the matter after completing this chart by drawing pictures of solid, liquid, and gas substances. There are also illustrations of each which can serve as a guide.
This now includes a chart for brainstorming as well as examples of each state of matter
A poster showing the scientific method as a flow chart. This can be printed into a poster and hung on the wall in your science classroom or can be printed as a handout to given to students to place in their interactive notebooks.

This chart has students fill in information about each organelle, identify which type of cell (plant or animal) it can be found in, the location in the cell, then has students relate the function of the organelle to the function of a person within the school. i.e.-the nucleus would compare to the principal because the nucleus controls the activity of the cell just as the principal controls the activity of the school.
