Kindergarten CCSS I Can Statements for ELA and Math

Many districts now require teachers to display focus goals at centers, so Dr. Jean (http://www.drjean.org/) and I have translated the standards into "child friendly" language and made "I Can Center Cards" for each ELA and Math Common Core State Standard. We know that so much is required of all of us, and we thought this may help to lighten your load! Copy the center cards ( 2 cards per page) on card stock, and cut them in half. These task cards include 7 of each: Percents to Fraction and Decimal; Decimal to Percent and Fraction; Fraction to Percent and Decimal; and Comparing Fractions to Decimals. Also included are 2 recording sheets. I use them as a whole group activity but they can be easily used in stations, intervention grouping, and review for advanced learners. Enjoy!

It is also valuable to begin teaching children that numbers can be greater than zero and less than zero. Templates for unnumbered task "cards" for Random Ordering of Problems/Questions

This product was created to allow students to choose which problems to do or questions to answer rather than do problems in counting order. Each space for the question or problem has a symbol instead of a number. The students write their answers on a separate sheet of paper, and add the symbol to their answer to make it clear which problem or question they are answering. I created this because I do not always have time to cut task cards apart. This way the cutting is not necessary. There are
