This is a hands-on lesson that teaches students the basics of the Worm and Wheel Gears. The pieces used for the lesson come from the LEGO MINDSTORMS robotics kit but the EV3 and the motors or sensors are not used in this lesson. Students work in pairs and follow a PowerPoint presentation. The students build a simple worm and wheel gear systems using LEGO pieces, completing a worksheet as they move though the Presentation.
