Which Path? A Measurement Activity (2.MD.1)

This is an activity to help students measure in inches and centimeters. Students are asked to measure which paths are either longest or shortest. The trick is, the paths are not straight, so they have to use string or yarn to trace the paths first and then measure the string. My kids did this in independent small groups and absolutely loved it. You could do the same thing or do it in a more guided setting. Either way, your students will ove getting the monsters where they need to go :)
