Rebekah Magin is a social worker, educator, and consultant whose work centers on trauma-informed continuing education, advocacy and resilience. Her expertise lies at the intersection of trauma theory, learning and teaching. Throughout her career, Rebekah has collaborated with Family Court systems, social services, schools, and healthcare organizations to support children and families. Most recently her work has focused on supporting educators and school administrators in navigating the social and emotional aspects of teaching in the public school system.
A former faculty member at the Sanctuary Institute, she led trauma-informed transformation efforts across schools and human service organizations nationwide. She also served as an adjunct faculty member in the Mental Health Counseling and Community Psychology program at Russell Sage College.
In 2016, Rebekah founded Prana Mani, a consulting and training organization focused on the impact of trauma on learning, relationships, and school culture. Through teacher training and student programs, she helps create safe, nurturing, and regulated learning environments.

My own education history
Rebekah earned her M.S.W. from SUNY Albany and her B.S. in Elementary Education from SUNY Plattsburgh. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker, a Certified School Social Worker in New York State, and holds a 200-hour certification in Hatha Yoga.
