My students loved this activity. I printed out the slides and hung/hid them all around the room. (All 27 problems!) On a sheet of paper numbered 1-27 they wrote down the transformations that they observed and then wrote the equation of the transformed function g(x). Directions are clearly stated on every poster to avoid confusion. This kept my below grade level students engaged for 45 minutes! They loved it! We reviewed the problems they wanted to go over on the board afterwards from the present
I use these task cards as a group activity. I put the printed out slides in a sheet protector or laminate them and then let the group write on them with a dry erase marker, identifying all of the key features. When time is up, they pass the task card to the next group and start the next one. It's great practice, develops strong mathematical discussions and students don't realize how many problems and key features they are actually practicing all at once! Afterwards, if there is a specific card I
