About the store
I am in my 12th year of teaching. First graders are definitely the best age of kiddos to teach! I can't explain the amount of love I have for teaching them to read and watch their growth throughout the entire year. It is astonishing! I have been making powerpoints and many activities and graphic organizers for my own classroom and other teachers for awhile now. Now I just need to make the time to post them on here! (That's more than half the battle!)

This is product contains everything you need to set up behavior management in your classroom. I teach 1st but used the same set in Kindergarten. Contents: -Black and White copies of set up materials -multiple different color copies of set up materials -home/school contract -parent contact letter for discipline -behavior

Mathematical Practices Kid Friendly Clear Learning Targets

After attending many sessions about our new Common Core State Standards and several of those being about the new Mathematical Practices, I decided there has got to be an easier way to word those practices. I catch myself using the kid-friendly version more so than the actual practices themselves. I know that these are very important, more so with the upper grades right now, but I know it's only a matter of time before our little ones are expected to use them and know what they are. These pos

We had word cards provided by our school district but quite frankly, the space was not utilized well to account for primary-aged children to be cutting them out. Plus the font that was used was not primary-friendly. In my version you can expect to see: -A primary-friendly font -High frequency words shown in a blued-out color to distinguish quickly -Cycles include Grade K, Cycle 13 through Grade 2, Cycle 26 -Top left corner shows the grade and cycle shown -Every little bit of free space is util

Meeting with your students one-on-one can be very rewarding! They seem to open up and allow you get to know them better as readers and writers. I use the pages in my classroom to jot down notes about our visits. On both the reading and writing conference pages I leave room for a "glow" and a "grow." Glow: something the student did well. Grow: A goal to work on until the next time you meet. These really help me remember and keep track of skills that my friends are working on and ones they already

I use this template to send home to my parents for Parent/Teacher conferences. I have looked and looked for a form that I like, but ended up making my own! After numerous teachers bragging on it, I have decided to share it here!

I made this sheet to use with my kinder friends. I liked it so much, I adjusted it to fit the needs of my first graders. Then a colleague asked for a 2nd grade version. Why not share it with you guys too?! :) In my classroom we use a clip chart (NO JUDGEMENT, please). The final color is orange. When students clip down to orange, which is RARE, they fill in this form that I copied on orange paper. I fill out the name and date and comments on the bottom half, if I have time. Then the child will t
