Students will choose a card with a division equation. All equations in this product have a 3 or 4-digit dividend and a 2-digit divisor. They will then solve the equation three different ways using the area model or partial quotients methods. They will then evaluate which method was the easiest and which was most difficult to solve and why.
Students can use this sheet to glue into their interactive math notebook as examples of multiplicative comparisons. Students use the number bank to correctly complete the statements to have as a reference throughout the unit. Alternatively, this can be used as a quick check, scaffolding activity, small group, or center.
Students will practice mentally or adding 10 from numbers 10-100 using the collaborative structure quiz-quiz-trade. Students will be given a card and then told to mix around the room. When instructed, they will find a partner and ask them the question on their card. The other student will answer and then ask their question.
