I have been teaching all over the state of Tennessee for the last 6 years. I have taught Math in grades 6-8 and now I am teaching self-contained 3rd grade in all subjects. Multiplication Fluency Student Tracking Sheet
This is a tracking sheet created for students to track their own progress in multiplication fluency. Students can color in the boxes of skills they have mastered and there is room for them to write the date of mastery. I have created it as two pages on one sheet to save paper. It was created to be used in a 5th grade math classroom in conjunction with the common core fluency requirements, but it can be used for other grades because it is very general. Teaching style
My teaching style stems from the belief that knowing my students is the number one priority. I tend to adjust my teaching style based on my students' needs, but I always try to have fun, keep the mood light, and instill a love for learning and a sense of self-worth.
Awards & shining teacher moments
Hutchin's Scholarship award for outstanding senior at Bethel University in 2008 and Excellence in Student Teaching award in 2009. I also represented my school n formative assessment training and taught my co-workers how to implement different types of formative assessment.
My own education history
I attended Bethel University in McKenzie, TN to receive my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (certified K-8) and my Master's degree in Educational Administration.
Additional biographical information
I have been married for 4 years to my wonderful husband, and I am happy that we have returned to my home for me to continue my career in my home county and be close to family!
