In-Depth Study: Machiavelli
This in-depth look at the philosophies espoused in "The Prince" by Machiavelli, allows students to practice close reading, question, reflect, analyze, and evaluate complex ideas. Originally, this was designed to be part of a Renaissance unit and is a wonderful way to make modern day connections to politics, as well as questions about leadership, ethics, morality, integrity, and character. Teaching style
I love trying new things and integrating technology, but enjoy the classics too. I think it is important to use literature as a tool to teach history.
My own education history
I majored in "English Language and Literature" and minored in "Education in a Pluralistic Society" at the University of Southern California. I received my MAT from National Louis University.
