I currently teach 3rd grade in Massachusetts. This is my third year teaching 3rd grade. I also taught 1st grade for 3 years before moving up to 3rd grade.
Challenge your students with these Problem's of the Week!
These 19 problems require your students to use their problem solving and/or criticial thinking skills. I encourage my students to do them outside of class and for their efforts, I reward them with a small prize. I have had many parents tell me they love having a challenge problem to work on with their student.
A great way to get students to enjoy a mathematical challenge!
I have included a letter that I send home attached to the first
Vocabulary pages for angles, polygons, triangles and quadrilaterals. Each page includes definitions, examples and places for students to show their understanding.

Students solve some of the harder multiplication facts and then create a rhyme for each one to help them remember the product.
I have them choose one and illustrate it. The illustrations are always very creative!
