I have experience working with children with behavioral deficiencies since 2018. I worked for a juvenile detention center providing secure and non-secure programs for youth as young as 10 years old to 17 years in age.
I worked over a year at my first ABA clinic as a Student RBT. I assisted the supervisors on creating programs for clients and added them to Central Reach. I also assisted on training our new hires direct line therapists (future RBT's). I sometimes assisted the supervisors with assessments and created assessment reports.
At the second clinic, I worked as a clinic assistant. I conducted initial assessment and reassessment with clients. I used the assessments, parent interviews, and client’s needs to create behavior intervention plans. I also supervised behavior technicians with client to ensure the behavior intervention plans are being implemented correctly. Met individually with parents to discuss their child’s current behavior programs, progress, future plans, and how to implement behavior plans at home.
At my current clinic, I am a behavior consultant. I design programs and targets based on VB-MAPP and ABLLS assessments for English and Spanish speaking children. I continue to do initial and re- assessments. I also continue to meet with parents and children to help them learn.
